His Holiness Swami Shivom Tirth Ji Maharaj

Born in a small village in Punjabi Gujarat in present-day Pakistan, his name before he entered the life of renunciation (sannyas) was Om Prakash. He completed his undergraduate degree at Lahore and lived a householder’s life for many years, relocating on the Indian side of the border with his wife and family at the time of independence and partition in 1947. After coming in contact with Swami Vishnu Tirtha he entered the path of spirituality, living with the guru as a disciple. Initially he was assigned everyday work in the Ashram but over time he became the favored disciple who would inherit the lineage. In 1959, when his Guru Ji made him a celibate (brahmachari), he took the name Bramchari Shivom Prakash. Brahmchari Shivom Prakash took formal sannyas diksha from Swami Narayan Tirtha of Kashi in 1963, becoming Swami Shivom Tirtha. After that he took care of the Yog Shri Peeth Ashram in Rishikesh and Narayan Kuti Ashram in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh. In his later years Swami Shivom Tirtha gave up his public life, left the ashram and started living in an isolated place near Indore, with two celibate disciples, writing many books. He gave up his earthly body on 6 April 2008 at Coimbatore: his body being committed to the Ganges at Rishikesh.

Paramesti Guru Swami Sahajananda Tirtha

His Holiness was born on the sixth day of the dark fortnight in the month of ‘Sravan’ as per the lunar calendar system in South India. The date falls during August, usually yearly, per the Gregorian calendar system. However, the actual English date is not on record since the precise birth year is unclear. It was mainly in the year 1923 that His Holiness was born. His Holiness was born in ‘Komerepudi’ village, located in Guntur District, in India’s State of Andhra Pradesh. Later, His Holiness shifted to another village called ‘Munipalle’ (the village of sage) in the same district. His Holiness was born in a traditional God-fearing family. He was spiritually oriented from a young age. He was the second child in the family.

His Holiness had undergone a formal high school education. He can read and understand the essential English sentences clearly but cannot speak fluently. While he can speak fluently in Hindi, but can’t read it other than the elementary words and sentences. Of course, he can read, speak and write fluently in his native mother tongue Telugu.

During 1947-50, he lived at the Aurobindo Ashram in Pondichery at the lotus feet of Sri Aurobindo. However, during this same period, he also visited Tiruvannamalai in Tamilnadu and had an opportunity to stay with Sri Ramana Maharshi for a week. In 1953 he went to Rishikesh in the Himalayas and lived in Swami Sivananda Ashram for two years. He was introduced to his Guru, His Holiness Swami Shivom Tirth Ji Maharaj, and became deeply interested in Shaktipat. He simultaneously received Shaktipat initiation in 1972 along with his friend Bhaskaranand (now known as Sri Swami Bhaskaranand Tirth Ji Maharaj). After that, he did his sadhan while living with his family in Andhra Pradesh. His Guru, His Holiness Swami Shivom Tirth Ji Maharaj had also blessed him with “Sanyas” initiation in 1982 at Narayan Kuti Sanyas Ashram, in the city of Dewas, in the Madhya Pradesh State of India. He continued with his sadhan and service to his Guru for four years while living in various Ashrams of the lineage of the Shaktipat Order. He later moved back to Andhra Pradesh after four years of his sadhan. His Holiness Swami Shivom Tirth Ji Maharaj later made him a Shaktipat Guru and authorized him to give Shaktipath initiation to people. Since then, he has given Shaktipat initiation to many disciples, including some living abroad.
Shaktipāt is an ancient yoga technique used to awaken kundalini energy in a person. The method can be applied remotely from any distance on a person living anywhere on the planet. The cosmic energy emanates from the body of the shakthipāth Guru, and after awakening the kundalini energy, it returns to the Guru. Thus, the process defies the rational explanation by modern science. His Holiness first becomes a shakthipāth Guru and has initiated many persons into kundalini yoga. He was instrumental in introducing the Shaktipat lineage among the Telugu-speaking people living in Andhra Pradesh and the Telangana States of India.

Param Guru T Sreenivasulu is an alumnus of some of the prestigious institutions of India, like Sainik School Korukonda, the National Defence Academy, and the Indian Military Academy. His long more than two thousand kilometers journey led to a different journey after encountering his Himalayan master on board the same train as a young boy! Unknown to the young lad, his journey had already been scripted long before it began! The author happens to be a Grand Guru in the lineage of the Shaktipat Order! Siddha Yogini Thanishka

Siddha Yogini Thanishka is a Shaktipath Guru. She belongs to the state of Kerala (India), also known as God’s own country, as it is believed in mythology that Lord Parshuram threw his axe into the vast sea to develop this land for his followers. Furthermore, Kerala is the birthplace of Jagad Guru Adi Shankaracharya, the founder of Advaita Vedanta philosophy.

Right from her childhood, Siddha Yogini Thanishka was inclined deeply into the works of Spirituality in search of a connection with God. In her pursuits, she remained sincerely devoted to Goddess Parvati (the wife of Lord Shiva) and continued following Bhakti Yoga (i.e., the path of Devotional Worship). She recollects being a storyteller and a spiritual content writer from early childhood. She continued to be guided internally towards reading the Hindu Puranas and Shastras (holy texts) and chanting very rare Devi Stotrams and Hyms at a young age, unlike her peers.

As an adult, this theme continued as she underwent certain spiritual experiences at the revered temples in India.

(i.e., Vaishno Devi in Jammu and Kashmir, Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, and Goddess Mookambika Temple in Karnataka).

Academically, she holds a master’s degree in computer applications and bioinformatics.

She believes that her Kuldevi Nag Bhagwati (Snake Goddess) kept unfolding her life’s purpose to move towards more profound spiritual practices and eventually the divine path of Siddha Maha Yoga. Certain spiritual experiences on her journey to Alaska awakened her deep desire to search for a True Guru who could guide her further toward self-liberation.

As it is famously said- ‘When the disciple is truly ready, a true Guru appears.’ This is how she received the Shaktipat initiation in July 2019 by Param Guru T. Sreenivasulu and Deeksha Adhikara (i.e., the authorization to initiate others) in 2020. Parmesti Guruji, His Holiness Sri Swami Sahajananda Thirthji blessed her with her title and name as Siddha Yogini Thanishka.

Siddha Yogini Thanishka has initiated several seekers across 50+ countries and has spread the message of Shaktipat and Siddha Maha Yoga far and wide.
